ImportantSlowMist Detects Phishing Pages Impersonating Ledger Firmware Updates, Warns Users Not to Enter Seed Phrases

A new phishing attack targeting Ledger users has been detected.
This phishing attack leverages recent Ledger-related supply chain incidents. The counterfeit pages set up by attackers are highly realistic, including fake authenticity check pages, device selection interfaces, and prominent "Update Now" buttons, making it extremely difficult for regular users to distinguish the authenticity of the pages through visual details alone.

The SlowMist security team explicitly reminds all hardware wallet users that there is no firmware update process that needs to be completed through third-party web links. Never click on any unfamiliar links sent from non-official channels to perform so-called firmware update operations.

The security team particularly emphasizes that no legitimate service provider will ever require users to enter their seed phrases under the pretext of firmware updates, account verification, or similar scenarios. Once a seed phrase is submitted on a phishing page, all associated crypto assets under the user's name will face the direct risk of total theft.
